Why Stability of Buildings ? In 1971 the Institution of Structural Engineers published a report on the Stability ofmodern buildings as a result of its conference on industrialized buildings, the collapse of prefabricated buildings under erection at Aldershot and the aftermath of the tragic accident at Ronan Point.
